Chemical Peels
Chemical peels drastically reduce the appearance of fine lines, sun damage, and expression lines leaving skin smooth.
When you request a chemical peel, a solution of different chemicals is spread over your skin which makes the skin peel off. The new skin is much less damaged, wrinkled, and smoother than your old skin. Skincare experts also use chemical peels to help treat skin conditions like acne scars and lesions and problems that discolor the skin.
The texture and tone of the skin are improved by the use of chemical peels when the damaged portions of your skin are eliminated. Some chemical peels can also be used to improve the skin on your neck and hands to take away the damage of acne, sun exposure, or aging that leaves your skin tone wrinkled, uneven, scarred or spotted.
Clogged pores can be effectively removed by chemical peels. Chemical peels remove dead skin that clogs and contributes to large-sized pores that turn into blackheads and sores.
UV rays affect our skin in ways we can’t always see. But they also leave very visible issues like dry and irritated-looking skin that skin peels help make less noticeable.
There are different levels of chemical peels. Light chemical peels remove the outer layer of skin in gentle exfoliation.
Medium chemical peels can treat acne scars, deep wrinkles, and uneven skin color. The chemicals used in a medium chemical peel removes skin cells from the epidermis and the upper portions of your middle layer of skin.
A deep chemical peel is used if you have deeper facial wrinkles and skin damaged by the sun, scars, or areas that are blotchy or have pre-cancerous growths. Deep chemical peels penetrate down to the lower dermal layer of your skin. You may need a local anesthetic or a sedative to manage the discomfort of a deep chemical peel.
